Worldly

Fleshing out some alternate foreground/background treatments so we don’t have to rely on half-tile obscuring, tall concrete blocks to shape the levels.

Man, something sure tore the earth asunder:

Took me a moment to realise that we’ve already seen these maps in the 3-day version! That’s some fine pixel-pushing.

I like where the blue one is going, but maybe the distant “background” buildings should be a darker colour? To my eye, the low-contrast makes it not so apparent that this is a city-scape.

Seeing how the game is shaping up, it should be on consoles in downloadable form. I’d sure pay for it on PSN. =)

Thanks Shrapnel.

Conan, the playable area in the last tileset is black, or very dark, so its background needs to be light; an inversion of the other tilesets. The low contrast is required because it’s relatively busy but just a background. If you figured out it was a cityscape then it’s working just fine :)

Well met Sir, well met. :P

This looks amazing! I remember when I fist played the full version of Super Clew Land and i though that it looked pretty much the same as the crunch version. This however, wow so much progress!
